Air Commodore Gordon Henry Steege DSO, DFC RAAF Rtd
A ace with 8 kills from WWII in the Middle East. An authentic RAAF hero. Member of the official party which toured French Indo-China and Malaya in 1952. Had commanded 77 squadron in Korea in late 1951. Served in the Bangkok SEATO planning office c. 1958-1961. Also commanded RAAF Butterworth, Malaysia (c. 1967 and after). Aged 95 late of Palm Beach, NSW.
