Brigadier Mark J D Noble OBE Royal Marines

Mark Noble joined the Royal Marines in 1978 and subsequently specialised as a helicopter pilot. Whilst spending much if his service within 3BAS and the wider Fleet Air Arm (including an attachment to the USMC), Mark also returned regularly to the main body of the Corps, serving in 45 Cdo, CTCRM (OTW) and Comacchio Group. As CO Comacchio Group, he was responsible for the move of the unit from RM Condor to Faslane and the renaming of the unit to FPGRM. He went on to become the first Deputy CGRM and his final appointment was as Commanding Officer RNAS Yeovilton. (taken from the website of the Royal Marines Charity)
