Captain (Geoffrey) George (William) HAYHOE C.B.E. Royal Navy
George was a Submariner: the notice describes him as a “courageous, caring and honourable man, with an enduring sense of fun” – which last, in particular, I would endorse – we served together on the staff of FOST in the mid-`60s, and he always managed to see the lighter side of sometimes serious events.
