Born on 21 May 1932; son of late Captain Guy Runciman Barrow, OBE, RN and the late Barbara Barrow (nee Heinekey); married in 1962 to Judith Ann (nee Cooper); two sons and one daughter. Captain of the County Class guided missile destroyer HMS GLAMORGAN which conducted shore bombardments throughout the war until hit by an Exocet missile in the early morning of June 12th, 1982.
