Commander His Honor John Bowditch Sinclair QC RANR Rtd
Born 1926, RANC entrant 1940. Served in HM ships Cumberland and Wager in WWII, possibly in the Atlantic and Far East. Perhaps the last surviving officer of HMAS Warrnambool, sunk by a mine off Queensland in 1947. Resigned in 1950 to study law and embarked on a successful legal career, including as a Judge on the NSW District Court. Of his intake, only three officers survive; including: LCDR Reeves and RADM Loosli and Swan. “SMH” may be doing his obituary.
