Commander Nigel Overington Royal Navy

A stalwart Navy Golf Player for many years and member of the Portobello Association. A varied service career that included command of HMS Edinburgh, a period on the Staff of FOF2 Nigel also taught ASW tactics at HMS DRYAD. Sadly his health was very poor throughout a large part of his career. However he never let this get him down and always presented a cheerful face to the world. In his own words “the glass was always half full”!
