Son of Rear Admiral M N Lucey. Joined BRNC Sept 1971 as an SL cadet. Achieved a training transfer to the GL and subsequently served in a variety of appointments including command of HMS Broadsword. His final appointment was warfare ratings branch manager working in Victory Building
