Commander RM (‘Mike’) Crosley DSC* Royal Navy
Born 24 Feb 1920. Sea Fire pilot in WWII; flew Sea Furies in Korea; ETPS in 1947 and continued to become one of the foremost Test Pilots at a time of crucial transition into the jet age. Inventor of the Head up Display. Retired in 1970 to become a teacher of physics. Keen sailor and constructed his own 27 ft boat in the garden of his home on the Isle of Wight.
