Commodore David H Thompson AM RAN

 Commodore D.H.Thomson AM RAN Retd passed away last night at Calvary Hospital, Canberra. David had been seriously ill for several years.

Amongst his naval career postings at sea he commanded both DDGs HMAS
Perth and Hobart. On retirement he acquired a private pilots licence
and with his wife Jo flew to many holiday destinations within Australia.

In October 1999 he founded the ACT Division of the Naval Officers
Club that now consists of over 110 members. The funeral is expected
to be held at St. Paul’s ANZAC Memorial Chapel, Duntroon. Details
will be promulgated when known.
