Commodore Eric Robinson (‘Rob’) Ellison CBE

Rob Ellison joined the RNZN as a SE Cadet in December 1945. After Dartmouth he served in HMS’s Frobisher, and Theseus,. He was Supply Officer of HMNZS’s Kaniere, Lachlan, Otago, Taranaki and Philomel. From 1978 he was Head of the NZ Defence Liaison Staff Washington and his final posting was Deputy Chief of Naval Staff. He retired in 1983.
