RANC entrant 1949, Korean service (Arunta), Suez (RN carrier), Vietnam (Hobart). Qualified as a D specialist. Commanded Queenborough and Harman (local stone frigate). Shared in prize money for rescue of a merchant ship. An outgoing and positive type, “life of the party”, who inspired many young oficers and sailors alike. A good hand.
