Initially served with the RN (Korea, Malaya and Malaysia) before joining the RAN. An intelligence specialist who also spoke Chinese. Acclaimed naval historian having authored several books. Active in many ex-naval associations. Partner to Tikwis and former husband of Debbie. Died unexpectedly this week.
