Lieutenant Commander Robin (‘Robie’) RANKIN Royal Navy

Not specially interesting but:
Robie was one of the nearly-last Darts, entering Dartmouth in April/May 1948. He was in my term, and we were French Alphas together. He specialised ‘G’ in about 1960. I know he was ‘G’ of ‘Nubian’ in the early mid-`60s. I seem to think he had a fun job driving a ‘Bar’ boat up and down th Clyde in the very late `60s, but he retired early, and went to work for BAe in their gunnery division. He married Sue Grantham as her second husband, and they had two children together. They made their home for the last twenty years in southern Lincolnshire.
