Lieutenant Commander Rodney (‘Rod’) Nott MBE, RFD, JP, RAN

Born June, 1932. Served in the Army from 1946-1948 but was thrown out for being under age. Joined the RAN as a general entry at HMAS Cerberus, FND, in 1949 as an Ord II. Elected for gunnery branch. Placed on SD promotion course in UK in 1963. RN service in HMS Jaguar during the Kashmir crisis of 1965. Received the UN medal for the ship’s patrols. Lt. Cmdr in 1975. Served in HMAS Duchess in Vietnam. Had considerable reserve service as his RFD attests. Total uniformed service of 45 years. A fine RAN officer.
