Lieutenant Commander Rt Hon Sir Owen Woodhouse KBE, DSC, KT, PC RNZNVR

Sir Owen Woodhouse joined the RNZNVR in 1940. He served with the RN in MTB’’s. He was awarded a DSC in an action in the Gulf of Venice April 1945 when three boats of the 28^th Flotilla sank five out of eight lighters. Sir Owen in command of MTB 410 sank two lighters. He was then Assistant Naval Attaché in Belgrade.Post-war he returned to his legal practice. He became a Judge in 1957 and was President of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand from 1981 to 1986
