Lt Cdr Sidney James ('Dixie') Dean MBE Royal Navy

Qual SD(PR) 1955, SD(D) 1958, D 1960 and D† 1965) passed away peacefully on 15 Nov at Royal Hampshire County Hospital Winchester. I am informed that he had not been well for quite a while. Dixie had 2 periods at DRYAD, late 70s and early 80s (CNOCS) and was at ASWE in 1977. I understand that he retired in 1985 temporarily in 1985 although he was re-employed and retired again in 1986.
