Staff Sergeant kenneth Francis MEE Army

Mr. Mee was a regular soldier,originally in the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, which he joined in August 1936. He served in Burma from 1941 to 1944, and later was remustered into the Royal Army Ordnance Corps. After the war he spent three years in Egypt, two years in Kenya,and another three years in the Canal Zone and in Tripoli. He completed his 22 years in 1958, but then spent another 12 years in the TA. He became an In-Pensioner of Chelsea Royal Hospital in 1985. Having an interest in Naval History, he became a subscriber to the Naval Review in 1990, and was regular in his attendance, in his Pensioner’s uniform, at our AGMs when held in London.
