Warrant Officer Brian West Coultas BEM

Born 19 October, 1935 with previous Royal Navy service in submarines from 1953-1965. Transferred to the Royal Australian Navy on his 30th birthday. Promoted Radio Supervisor in 1970. Served in Oxley, Platypus and Otway. Awarded the BEM (for gallantry) for his role in the rescue of the crew of a ketch off Queensland in October 1971. Later joined the public service. Active in club life and had an interest in Rugby Union.
