MASTER NED Dear Commander M, The federal election in May saw the defeat of the Liberal-National Party conservative Coalition and its replacement by a Labor government which gained (just) an absolute majority in the House of Representatives. This is despite the multiplication of independents, many of whom now occupy seats which were once safe Liberal city electorates. The ‘teal’ movement resulted from a combination of environmental concerns and a not unjustified fury with an accident prone and often ethically challenged government.
