Sir, – Brock West’s extraordinarily interesting, wide-ranging and comprehensive study of the geopolitics of the Pacific [112/3, pg. 323] has many references to a ‘climate crisis.’ Naval policy-makers who read the Naval Review and deal in global warming matters should be aware that the evidence for a ‘climate crisis’ is very mixed. The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), has a chart at page 90 of Chapter 12 in their Sixth Assessment Report.
