Our correspondent continues his Operation HIGHMAST reporting, with the Carrier Strike Group beginning its return voyage through the Indian Ocean and conducting defence engagement and Joint Operations with the Indian Navy, before turning for Suez. A 5 minute read.

Picture the scene from the quarterdeck of HMS Prince of Wales: the UK Carrier Strike Group underway on exercise in the Malacca Strait: F-35B jets roar from the flight deck above on a practice strike mission with the Royal Malaysian Air Force. Merlin helicopters from 820 and 845 Naval Air Squadrons hover in the approach, loaded with stores from ashore and VIPs visiting from the Five Powers Defence Arrangement.
