By the Editor: On 12 January 2000 a new general code of sexual conduct was introduced into the Armed Forces. The author highlights this key anniversary of change from a policy that would be an anathema today to any veteran or member of the Armed Forces. And he sets a challenge to us all, including our veterans’ charities, to respect difference and ensure prejudice doesn’t rear its head again.
