By the Editor: Thomas Jefferson’s quote “A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine” perhaps needs updating for a ‘woke’, social media dominated age. Now groups, much less than the ‘forty-nine percenters’, can seemingly rule the agenda, even to the extent of making pronouncements without having the benefit of support by the facts.
