Sir, – I read David Frost’s tale [113/3, p. 462] of intelligent disobedience with great interest. It reminded me of my own experience: In 1991, following the Gulf War, I was the commander in the Fleet Organisation Project Team (Commander FOPT) at Northwood. I had recently returned from JHQ High Wycombe where I had been SO1 J3 Navy (Plans), a title which succinctly described to anyone throughout the Armed Forces who I was and what I did.
