Sir, – I recently received my copy of the Surface Warfare Officers’ Association (SWOA) Annual Newsletter and was happily browsing through it when I noticed the following statement. “Approval has now been given for the introduction of a “PWO Pin” which will be worn on their uniform (similar to the longstanding SM Badge) by “suitably qualified officers.” At long last the PWO is to be recognised along with the Submariners, Aircrew and MCDs.
