The last British warship to be preserved as a public exhibit was HMS Ocelot. The last warship to be built at Chatham, she paid off in 1991 and opened as an exhibit in Chatham Historic Dockyard in 1992 where she remains a popular attraction among the many vessels and artefacts on display.
