The author provides an update on Russia’s United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK) and the likely outcomes resulting from increased government pressure to improve the company’s throughput and financing. A 5 minute read.

The state-owned OSK was formed in 2007 to bring order to what had become an underfunded and disorganised industry after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The vast majority of shipbuilding enterprises, civilian and military, ranging from design bureaus to shipyards and repair centres, are owned by OSK.
