Sir, – I read with interest the article by an unnamed Sub-Lieutenant about his experiences with the RN’s AIB (online) and that of the RAF [114/1, p. 32]. As a successful candidate at the old-style AIB back in the 1970s, I can understand why he is less impressed with just the on-line version. I believe much has been lost by not meeting aspirants in person and having that extra eyes-on contact.
