A year-in retrospective from the BRNC Naval Tutor, reflecting on the vital challenges of engaging junior officers to think strategically in an increasingly complex world. A 5 minute read.

I joined the Royal Navy Leadership Academy (RNLA) at Britannia Royal Naval College (BRNC) as the Naval Tutor a year ago. My main delivery is the Naval Analysis Course (NAC), preparing personnel for the Intermediate Command and Staff Course (Maritime) (ICSC(M)), and the pre-Advanced Command and Staff Course (ACSC) Acquaint. With the ACSC Acquaint, I have only delivered the acquaint once so I cannot draw any conclusions. The Naval Tutor role also delivers ethical leadership and ethical drift.
