Last month, more than 80% of Turkish voters took part in a cliff-hanger election that saw Turkey’s embattled President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emerge victorious once again. Prior to last month’s election, there was a broad consensus that Erdogan and his AKP were at their weakest politically.
