The author continues his tour d’horizon appreciation of the Ukraine War a third year in [111/2, p. 18 & 112/1, p. 11], providing a window view into the anarchic world of 2025. A 25 minute read.

I never imagined that I would be writing an article with a title like this. The idea, back in early 2022, that Europe could sustain a major ground war for three years, and that at that doleful point, no one had a clear plan for the way ahead and how things would end would have seemed preposterous. Surely ‘they’ (a very undefined term) would have realised by now that something so infinitely dangerous could simply not be allowed to go on for so long? But so it has proved.
