In 2019, I had the honour and pleasure of moderating a Naval Review think tank that considered my paper, ‘Intelligent disobedience: strategic and tactical decisions’. The final paper, ‘Intelligent disobedience, effective followership and the need for information’ introduced several new elements, thanks to the contributions of several members.
