By kind permission of Captain Sarah Oakley, Captain of Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, the Naval Review is delighted to share with you the first in a new series of termly lectures on serious Geo-political issues which will face our young leaders during their Naval Careers.  The future leaders of the Royal Navy need to have enquiring and questioning minds and be able to use their intelligence and experience to the benefit of the Service in protecting our Nation’s interests around the globe. The Naval Review will be a tool to help them learn, understand and share their insights and to benefit their continuous professional development throughout their naval career.    BRNC are indebted to Sam Olsen, CEO of the Evenstar institute for delivering the first subject: The Royal Navy, China and National Strategy.  The lecture was delivered the day after the IR Refresh reasserted the Indo-Pacific shift.
