CHANGE OF PRIME MINISTER The new Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, has appointed John Healey, former Defence Secretary, as Chancellor of the Exchequer, which must be potential good news for the MOD. The new Defence Secretary is Wes Streeting who has always sounded fairly positive about defence. The real issue is whether the money can be found in order to increase defence spending, irrespective of the views of Messrs Healey and Streeting.
