By the editor: I have the nagging feeling something has been lost. Not a hankering for yesteryear (because clearly it was always sunnier then – not) but a robustness born out of a deep Reservist pool that did more than just complement their Regular peers. Whole ships set to sea with true operational competence that enhanced the Naval ‘orbat’. The author reminds us of the art of the possible.
