By the Editor – The author opines that although the State has proven to be the only effective controller of levers of power in the last four months, post-pandemic Keynesian motivations will be in short supply when it comes to future MoD funding. This will require painful rationalisation, perhaps drawing-down Services to a future emphasising Domains not Services – in which those who operate in the maritime domain could be well placed, subject to proper study of the pandemic lessons, to prove their utility and worth.
