Sir, – I would like to congratulate Lt Freddie Huntley for shining a light on an often overlooked and invariably misunderstood aspect of naval business (‘The Role of the Navy in the Modern ‘Migrant Crisis’: The Right Tool for the Job?’ (NR 106/4)). I had the privilege of leading Op LITTEN, the UK’s contribution to the EU’s Op SOPHIA, from September 2017 to March 2018.
