Sir, – May I offer a slight amplification for your note written to accompany Rudyard Kipling’s poem, My Boy Jack, which you included as your ‘Quote of the Quarter’ in the NR Vol 106/4. The poem was first published in Great Britain as part of a propaganda article, entitled ‘Destroyers at Jutland’, which appeared in the Daily Telegraph in four parts between October 19 and October 31, 1916.
